Pieces created in 1860, Louis XIV style. Starting in the late seventeenth century, the splendor and refinement of the court of King Louis XIV influenced all the courts of Europe. Christofle updated this style in the nineteenth century to transform table accessories into luxurious and elegant objects. It created Marly collection in 1860. Its characteristic decoration and finish were taken from the Louis XIV style: a pilaster cascade motif, forms with small columns, fine chiseling, sterling silver soldering and hand-blown crystal.
