This tranquil seascape of the sea at Grandcamp is the work of the great Georges Seurat. Highly important, it is among the key works in the founding of the Neo-Impressionist movement. It was among the very first in which Seurat explored his revolutionary new technique, Pointillism. Seurat's Pointillist style is regarded as one of the most innovative movements in the history of art.
